Recognized as a quality supplier, granted priority
on new aerospace programs
Wallingford, CT (USA) - DNE Technologies, Inc.,
a manufacturer of aerospace sensors, ice detectors, and other control
devices, announced today that it has been awarded the STAR Supplier
Award from Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics Material Management
Center (AMMC). The award recognizes DNE Technologies as a quality
supplier to Lockheed Martin on a number of different aerospace programs,
and also grants priority to DNE products on new aerospace programs.
Lockheed Martin's Aeronautics Material Management Center awards
STAR Supplier status to "those suppliers who commit to continuous
improvement and maintain standards of excellence in the areas of
Quality, Schedule, Cost, Technical Competency and Responsiveness
across all product lines." Among the criteria for selection
are on-time deliveries of all products at 98% or above, and 100%
total product yield in all commodities supplied to Lockheed Martin
Aeronautics Material Management Center.
"DNE and Lockheed Martin have partnered on many aerospace programs
through the years, and we are proud to be recognized for the superior
service we provide," said DNE Technologies, Inc. President
and CEO William Gill, Jr. "We feel this award is a natural
progression of quality recognition which began with our ISO 9001
certification in 1997. I am happy to accept this award on behalf
of all the employees at DNE who worked hard for this recognition."
DNE was awarded SELECT Supplier status earlier in 1999, which covered
a number of products which DNE supplies to Lockheed Martin AMMC.
The STAR Supplier award, covers all aerospace products DNE supplies
to Lockheed Martin AMMC, and is the highest award Lockheed Martin
AMMC bestows upon its suppliers.
DNE products provided to Lockheed Martin AMMC include signal amplifiers
and ice detectors for the F-16 aircraft; oil temp thermostats, air
temp thermostats, flashers, switching units and AC undervoltage
relays for the C-130 aircraft; ice detection systems for the F-117
aircraft, and aerial refueling amplifiers for the F-22 aircraft.
